Because visas and embassies are somewhat of a law unto themselves we want to make sure you know where you stand. It's not the same as just buying something. You are paying for the embassy to CONSIDER giving you a visa. This means if the mood takes them not to give you a visa, you don't get one. And they keep your money. In some cases there are ways of getting a visa after you have been turned down once but it will always involve coughing up more money. Embassies also occasionally make mistakes, which they can charge you to rectify.
Despite this we process many thousands of visas, the number of problems is very low and we have a few sneaky tricks to make sure it stays low. If we make a mistake on our side of things we will make sure we put it right at no cost to you.
